General

What is OBMOB?
OBMOB is AI-powered preparation for the ABOG OB/GYN oral certifying exam. Drill realistic mock orals with a voice-AI examiner, on your own de-identified case list or on structured ABOG-style cases, and get a scorecard after every case. Paid plans include unlimited practice.
Who is it for?
OB/GYN residents and fellows preparing for the ABOG oral certifying exam, and recent graduates who want realistic, repeatable practice without scheduling a human examiner.
Was this built by physicians?
Yes. OBMOB is built with a practicing, board-certified OB/GYN, and our cases and grading are grounded in ACOG primary sources.
Is OBMOB affiliated with ABOG or ACOG?
No. OBMOB is an independent exam-prep product, not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by ABOG, ACOG, or any certifying body. Cases and grading are aligned with the ABOG oral’s format and content expectations, but we are not connected to them.
You use AI? Really?
Yes. An AI examiner and grader are what let you practice unlimited realistic orals any time, between cases, before rounds, or right before bed. It’s designed to supplement mentorship, not replace it.

How exams work

How does a mock oral work?
You start a case and the voice examiner takes you through it one question at a time, no hints, no coaching, just like the real room. Say “I’m finished” or set a time limit, and you get your scorecard.
Can I practice on my own cases?
Yes. Import your de-identified case list and drill the cases you’ll actually defend. OBMOB processes de-identified information only. Never enter PHI.
How long is a mock oral?
Your choice: optional 3-, 5-, 7-, or 10-minute timed sessions, or go untimed and end when you’re finished.

Grading & feedback

How is my performance graded?
After each case you get a scorecard: dimension-by-dimension scores, your strongest and weakest moments, and a model answer showing what a strong response sounds like.
What happens if I bomb a case?
That’s exactly what practice is for. On paid plans you can take unlimited mock orals and watch your weak areas shrink over time.

Accuracy & sources

How accurate is the content?
We work hard to ground content in credible, verified sources (ACOG and primary literature) and to cite them. Still, the examiner is AI and AI can make mistakes: this is exam practice, not medical advice. Always verify clinical details against ACOG guidance and primary sources.

Pricing

How much does OBMOB cost?
Start free with 3 full voice mock orals on your own cases, no card required. Beyond that, Pro is $79/month and Premium is $129/month. Pay quarterly for about 5% off, or yearly for 2 months free. That's a fraction of what traditional oral-board courses cost, and you can cancel anytime. See the full plans.
Is there a free version?
Yes. 3 one-time mock orals on your own case list, no card required.

Data & privacy

Is my data secure? What about PHI?
